Mary and Dee got married in Trim Castle Hotel, Co. Meath, in October 2016. They are delighted to share their wedding day with us, thank you ladies and a massive congratulations to you both.
Mary proposed to Dee back in 2008 when civil marriage was only a dream. She even got down on one knee too! in Powerscourt Gardens and of course Dee said yes. Dee was not only saying yes to Mary but also to her two sons from a previous relationship who were only 5 and 6 when Dee came into Mary’s life. Their two boys are now 15 & 17.

“We were lucky to get some dry weather to get our pictures, upstairs at the venue, looking out on Trim castle. The staff in the hotel were extremely nice, and we had an amazing weekend, we were treated like royalty the entire time we were there – our MC Joe was so nice. And every meeting we had with the staff from the hotel was great. They made us feel so at ease, and took the stress out of their part in our day.
The highlight of the day was definitely the ceremony, we both were near to tears a lot, and were lucky to have around 120 of our friends and family there to share it with us. We had a spiritual/celtic ceremony. Our celebrant was Rev. Enda Donnellan, from One Spirit, Interfaith Ministers Ireland. He was amazing, very personal ceremony and everyone who attended our wedding thought so too. Really nice guy, from Slane, Co. Meath.
We both got out dresses from Ruben Bridal, in Calverstown, Kildare. Ruben Bridal was also lovely and helpful, they specialize in plus sizes. It was the first shop we went in to as well, and we were so nervous and had no idea what we were going to wear but found 2 dresses we fell in love with.
Our Photographer was Eric Ronan Photography, who captured beautiful photos for us to cherish.
